Description: Victorian American furniture, 19th century antique. An exceptional Renaissance Revival half tester bed of monumental proportions. Beautifully figured mahogany oval paneled headboard and rounded footboard are surmounted by finely detailed posts and are crowned by a deep serpentine half tester. The fleur de lis cresting is repeated in the headboard and oversized finials. This magnificent queen bed is all original and in superb condition. Beds of this caliber and configuration are attributable to Mitchell & Rammelsberg, Cincinnati, Ohio. Third quarter nineteenth century.
