Description: Lovely pair of Recency Claw foot doorstops. The foot of each door stop is the Griffin foot that was so popular during the early 1800s. The handle of each has been embossed with an ancanthus leaf design and has a open area to allow for easy carrying. The lead weights in the back of each foot are responsible for a slight lean to the rear. One of the weights can be removed, the other has been permanenly sautered inside the foot. Great to use as bookends.
