Description:
These two matching pairs of ca 1930's double arm sconces display a gleaming finish and a stately design. Beginning with a square back plate showing a hammered texture and a faux-riveted border, which features fleur-de-lis, these sconces are uniquely complex. Haloing the back plate is a border intended to look like four bended and curled bands. These bands meet at the top and bottom of this piece with a faux-strap, which holds palmettes, and they meet at the edges of the back plate in a faux-rivet that is topped with a twisted rod on which a stylized fleur-de-lis perches at either side. Attached to the back plate is a cast band, which is cut out to display trefoil designs, is capped with a triple fleur-de- lis, and supports the matching bobeches. Beneath each bobeche is a loop finial with a faux-rivet and a fleur-de-lis accent. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctional antique turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. These are 10 ¼” long, 9 ¾” wide and protrude 3 ¾” from the wall. The price listed is for one pair; there are two pairs available.
