Description: THEATRE SET DESIGNER: James Vessey

These are original framed watercolor & Pencil sketches by (James Vesey) hand-signed and dated 1937. James Vesey was a Hollywood set and prop designer in the 30's & 40's movies while in production. Stars like Bacall, Dietrick, Bogart and others have been captured by his talents.

Vesey's artistry is extraordinary as depicted in this very fine watercolors of the Samurai Warriors and the three Japanese women in their traditional costumes.

Matching Frame Measurements: 21" x 21" outside of frame or 12" x 12" Actual Sketches one slightly small than the other. Both in Excellent Condition other than normal age tanning of art paper.

These are being sold as a pair. James Vesey's signature appears on the bottom right of the Japanese Ladies. The two sketches probably were backdrop scenes or costume illustrations.

Will be shipped separately as frames are heavy.
