Description:
For your consideration, we have for sale a Rare Victorian Cranberry Cream and Sugar Set. The cream is 6 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide. It is in great condition, but does have a two smooth divets in the glass. They look like little chips, but I think they might be bubble bursts- I'm not sure. The glass insert is coinspot optic pattern and has a ruffled edge. It has hand-painted enamel flowers on the outside as well. I'm unsure if this painting is original, because it does not line up with the silver holder. The sugar measures 6 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. It is also in great condition, but does have a few small nicks and chips on the rim of the glass insert. The glass insert for the sugar is coinspot optic and features the enamel flowers as well. The painting on both pieces does show a little wear. There are a few small paint flakes and chips in the paint. Once again, I'm not sure if this painting is original or not, as is doesn't match up with the holder. I'm not sure who the glass marker was for these inserts, but both have quite a few bubbles in the glass. While they do have imperfections, they are both still very beautiful. The holders are silver plate and are marked Brooklyn Silver Plate Triple Plate 16 on the bottom as you can see from our photos.
