Description: Rare solid quartered oak conversation bench or tete a tete. This piece has an "S" shaped back with a raised portion in the middle of each seat. The back is supported by a number of fancy turned spindles. It has two shaped seats and double support turned spindles around the base. This unique form of seating was used so that couples could sit facing each other and have a closer conversation. Sounds like a good idea for today's romantic lovers as well - doesn’t it?
