Description:
Fabulous English 19th century Museum quality MINTON covered two handled urnshaped vase with a beautiful turquoise ground with white centre panels hand decorated with roses. The vase is elaboratley decorated throughout with gold leaf including the finial of the cover and the two handles. A most unusual feature of this vase is that it has the white panels with the hand decorated roses around the complete circumference of the vase not just a panel to the front and back - see the 2nd photo with the side view of how it looks with the handles. It has a fine hairline crack to one front panel which has been completely sealed and a small restoration which has been beautifully done by a museum restorer. This vase has been appraised at $8500! It is fully documented and a very RARE find. It is absolutely fantastic! The color is stunning. The vase was made ca 1850 and is marked to the underneath.
