Description: Very rare American made Amethyst glass shape vase from a Baltimore MD estate.The Amethyst color is extremely hard to find in early American flint glass.The vase dates from 1830 to 1850. It was made in one of the many glass factorys on the Eastern coast.The flint glass vase rings like a bell when tapped.I have tryed to show in my photo's the very small rings around the body of this vase absolutely fabulous vase from being hand blown & turned. It has a pontil mark on the bottom.The vase is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.It measures 7" 1/2 inches tall.The opening is 4" 1/2 across.
