Every that is map listed in the table of maps is present except map 54 "France divisee & subdivisee en toutes ses Provinces & petits Pays (Grandes Cartes)". This atlas adds two other maps titled "Noubelle Carte de la Parue Des Indes Orientales, qui comprend entr'autres Etats, les vastres Possessions des Anglais (Map of India) and "Carte Des Etats-Unis de l'Amerique Septen trionale, dressee d'apres des Cartes Anglaises (Map of The United States)". The later map being a close up of the newly formed United States of America from Georgia in the south to Maine in the North and the western boundary of the Appalachian Mountains. When the treaty following the American Revolution was signed in 1783, Brion de la Tour illustrated the peace agreements for the new country in a series of maps that drew upon English and military information from the war. This map is one of the first times that the name "United States" appears. To the northwest, the "Countree des Six Nations" is depicted, as are many of the Indian territories. This Atlas is probably COMPLETE complete as this Atlas was intended to be sold in England or the USA so the large map of France was replaced by more relevant maps of the USA and the English possession of India. Exceptionally rare.
