Description: Here is a rare 19th century grain-painted clothes (laundry) drying rack. The graining is in black and red. It looks like there are remnants of grain-painting on the wooden arms. I've never seen a clothes rack in grained paint. Wouldn't this look nice in a period country home! If you like early clothes drying racks, this grain-painted one is really nice...probably one of a kind! This is from a collection and is on consignment.
