Description:
Antique bronze clad Thinker bookends. Gorgeously detailed and hard to find! Likely made by Armor Bronze since they often just used paper labels which fell off over time. Shown in the book as Armor Bronze; rarity is 4 out of 5. They are almost 8 inches tall x 3.5 wide. Incised mark: 'Le Penseur Par Rodin'. One of them has 2 slight breaks in the bronze plating; the breaks are near the man's pelvis and elbow; they are hard to spot because they are towards the center of the figurine see pic #6 and this is a common age flaw on bronze plated items due to all the detail and crevices. These should only be dusted lightly, never washed or polished. These are outstanding, heavy bookends despite the minor flaws. A great manly gift!
