A absolutely wonderful find, although I have had tartarware card cases in the past, I haven't had the pleasure of finding a good Bezique box until now. The tartan is Prince Charlie with the original little gold on black label onto the top of the lid. The interior is a delight with three counters, two which would have the pegs housed inside (without pegs) and one which wouldn't have had the pegs stored inside. The playing cards are clearly more recent, but the wonderful original Victorian games instructions by Goodhall & Son is intact. Both the box and counters are in wonderful condition. The box measures 6 5/8" x 3 1/2" and the larger two of the three counters 2 7/8" x 2". Simply superb!!
