Description:
This is a wonderful very large mug or tankard produced by Wedgwood, England in 1972 to commemorate the 25th wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The rare large creamware mug was designed by Richard Guyatt and measures 4.25 inches high by 4.25 in diameter. The mug has a fabulous stylized design of the unicorn and lion of the Queen's shield, profiles of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip with ribbons, bells and wreaths. The mug is tan with gold, silver, black and white. Royal commemorative by Richard Guyatt are very hard to find and sought after by royal memorabilia collectors. The prize piece of an English royal commemorative estate collection we acquired lately. Neat!
