Description: Approximate 16" x 20" print of the Old Capitol Hotel by Mr. Sawyier, marked #2848, Plate II, copyright 1968 by the Kentucky Historical Society. Mr. Sawyier has captured the Old Capital Hotel on a rainy day and his abstract work is wonderful. The old hotel was once a hub in Frankfort, Kentucky's social and political life. It was destroyed by fire early in this century. Mr. Sawyier died in 1917 at the age of 52. The Kentucky Historical Society was proud to feature this artist's work in a print folio as a tribute to his memory.
