Description:
This Precious Moments thimble, #13293 Mother Sew Dear, has the cedar tree mark on the inside with the name of the thimble, dated 1984 Samual J Butcher/All Rights Reserved Worldwide/Licensee Enesco Imports Corporation and a clear label marked:Taiwan. Although first made in 1984 the cedar tree mark, the Symbol of strength, beauty, and preservation is for the year 1987. Precious Moments, the trademark pastel-hued figurines with teardrop-shaped eyes, were created by Samuel Butcher of Missouri in 1978, with 21 figurines ("Original 21"). Sam Butcher was a preacher, and he based his creations on Christian values, naming each figurine based on either sayings from children, or deriving from their innocence. Beautifully done, the golden hair mother is sitting while doing her needlepoint with sewing basket beside her and has small pink hearts around the bottom. In very good condition without chips or cracks she measures 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide. A wonderful addition to any Thimble or Precious Moments Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have any questions contact me and thank you for looking.
