Description: This never displayed Precious Moments A Friend Is Someone Who Cares is still in the original box with both tags and bubble wrap. It is marked: Enesco/1988/Samuel J.Butcher with the #520632. Precious Moments, the trademark pastel-hued figurines with teardrop-shaped eyes, were created by Samuel Butcher of Missouri in 1978, with 21 figurines ("Original 21"). Sam Butcher was a preacher, and he based his creations on Christian values, naming each figurine based on either sayings from children, or deriving from their innocence.
The piece was retired in 1995. A nice gift for any special friend and an addition to any Precious Moments Collection.
