Description: This button was made after the war by Scoville Mfg. for Confederate Veterans. What is interesting about it is that it has 13 stars instead of 11 representing the states in the Confederacy.
It has the Scoville, Waterbury, Conn mark on the back. It is a high convex button with "CS" for Confederate States on the Eagle's shield. It is very clean. The shank on the back is straight and intact.
This button was purchased from an antique dealer's estate that had been boxed up since 1986.
