Description: Beautiful Floral Polychrome German Delftware Plate! The colors on this plate are brilliant with the decoration being encircled with a date of "1795" and a poem in German. This would be considered a love poem with the translation from old German being....."We have nothing else to do but love each other" For 18th c. delftware, the condition would be considered good, not perfect (understandable) with a few minor rim dings. The plate exhibits a rolled edge on the back and measures 9" w., 1 1/4" h.
