Description: Plique-a-jour Japanese cloisonne bowl, in what appears to be its original cloth-lined, foam-padded, hinged wooden box. The bowl is 3.75" wide, 1.875" high, with a multicolor floral design on a pale green background, with three crescent-shaped feet. The box is 3.625" high and 5.25" square. Probably mid-20th century. The Japanese version of plique-a-jour cloisonne is very hard to find, especially in as nice condition as this item is (i.e., no cracks or chips).
