Description: Early 20th century moulded glass ashtray - �Players Navy Cur� around the rim, and a rear-cut image of the sailors head with sailing ship and possibly battleship at either side of him. The wording round the rim is moulded on the rear in little dots, so it gives a bright effect from the front - a technique often used in Victorian pressed glass. This would date circa WW1. Ashtray measures 12.5 cm diameter and 2.5 cm high (5 inches by 1 inch). Very good condition - no chips or cracks, just some wear to the inside surface of the glass in the bottom of the ashtray . Because of the image, this is not noticeable. A rare advertising dish.
