DESCRIPTION: Here are all 12 issues of PLAYBOY magazine from 1973, January through December CONDITION: These issues are in a range of FINE to VERY FINE condition. You'll find some dings, spine wear and dog-ear creases and some stacking skidmarks but... the centerfolds and special features are all intact and stapled where they belong... tight and bright! VALUE: In vintage magazine shops, if you can find issues from 1973, the regular issues will be priced $6-$8 each. The April, June, July and October issues will set you back $10-$12 each. The August issue with actress Heather Menzies in the buff is priced at about $15. If you collected all 12 issues individually to make a set, the set would cost about $90-$115! CONTENTS: January issue: The huge Holiday Anniversary issue is packed with literary works from the best that 1973 has to offer including: George Higgins, Germaine Greer, Paul Theroux, Herb Gold, William F. Buckley, Jr., John Cheever, Art Buchwald, etc. The PLAYBOY Interview is with "Archie Bunker" actor Carroll O'Connor. A pictorial reviews the Playmates of the past year. You'll find a LeRoy Neiman football-themed painting in this issue on canvas paper stock suitable for framing. February issue: "Jazz" issue spotlights Last Tango In Paris star Maria Schneider in a 7-page nude pictorial. The interview is with economist Milton Friedman. March issue: This one comes in like a lion with a terrific strip-tease cover. The pictorials are of actor Robert Culp's new movie A Name for Evil and director Russ Myer's wife Edy Williams is photographed in the nude. Fighter Joe Frazier is interviewed. April issue: The spotlight is on a naked Deep Throat mega-star Linda Lovelace and playwright Tennessee Williams provides an interesting interview.
