Description: 19th century knock out chandelier .this gas chandelier is made by Cornelius of Philadelphia; it was originally a gas burning chandelier & has since been fitted for electricity .It is gilt brass with black patinated spelter crusader figures flanking the center. Other appropriate adornments like shields & swords are fixed to the chandelier in the appropriate decorative places .This is a real masterpiece of a chandelier from the Victorian era. The shades are in in the Greek Key design in keeping with the classical theme of this fixture .It measures 55� long x 38� diameter.
