Description: This ornate filigreed brass, silk and petit point embroidered four piece dressing table set consists of a 12 1/2 inch long hand mirror - a 10 inch long hair brush - 7 inch long clothes brush - a 5 inch in diameter dresser or powder jar. All four pieces have backs or lid embroidered with petit point floral designs on a silk background topped with a celluloid cover protecting the silk and embroidery. They are encased in ornate brass with detailed intricate filigree designs. The bristles on the brushes have a wood backing. The set dates to the early 20th century and all four pieces, tarnished due to age, are in excellent condition.
