Description:
Hand-knotted, Hand-woven 400 Knots Per Square Inch Fine 100% SILK Persian Qom Rug from Iran. Circa 1980s. COLORS: Gorgeous, rich salmon becomes jewel toned in darker environments and light mauve in brighter ones. Beautiful true turquoise is also prevalent, contrasted by garnet and clear ocean blue accents, as well as deepest navy, bottle green, bronze, mushroom and others!
Beautiful small table top or wall hanging rug.
Silk foundation and lucious silk pile, finely woven and closely cropped for a distinct pattern and formal look. Center tear drop medallion design with butterflies in the field! Pretty in pastel, remember that silk rugs have a nap and appear darker when viewed from one direction and lighter from another.
Condition: Excellent. No condition problems to disclose. The natural ivory field has flecks of dark strands in the pile that have occurred from the natural process of working with real silk.
Measurements: 2‘8“ x 1‘9“ including the 1/2 inch kilim on each end and 1 inch and three inch fringes.
