A Magnificant Finely Carved Chippendale Drop-Leaf Table. The wood is spectacular. The Drop leaves are book-matched when opened. Alot of thought and design planning went into this table.
The deeply carved feet have hairy details (very nicely done), the leaf carvings on the cabriole knees are fantastic.
The corner hinged legs operate smoothly and sturdily. This table is made from very thick, attractive, heavy mahogany. I truly love this table.
There are a couple of end cracks on the table top that have been repaired and do not detract from the awesome beauty of this table. A rare specimen of this Period of furniture.
