Description:
On offer is a turn of the century lovely vase of cased peachblow satinglass with fine trailed enamelled design in yellow. The piece starts out to be a rich cranberry pink at the top and dilutes in degrees to a lovely creamy white at the base. The glass is cased, with a white interior. There is yellow beading around the rim of the vase. The vase has a nice bulbous shape with a narrow neck and narrow base. The base of the vase is not solid as was the late Victorian style. Satin glass does feel like satin. It is produced by dipping the final piece in acid. Condition would be mint except for a factory flaw which is an indentation at the base as pictured.
