Description:
One of the many books from the Estate of Francis P. Fretwell that we will be selling. The library is the largest privately owned collection of dog books in the world. Mr. Fretwell was the owner of Monfret Kennels, which bred champion standard poodles. He was former president and governor of the Poodle Club of America, and the Italian Greyhound Club of America. He also served as a delegate to the American Kennel Club for decades. His wonderful collection of books has been carefully maintained. Paw Marks. By W. J. Illustrated from photographs. The author and his dogs. Narrative and poetry. Spine faded. Mr. Fretwell's bp on front fixed endpaper. Endpapers toned. Interior pages have light, even toning.
