Description:
This is an excellent example of a Paul McCobb Planner Group Credenza. Sometimes it is referred to as a sideboard or buffet. It has the Planner Group label on the left hand drawer. The original shipping label is still attached to the back of the credenza. It was manufactured by the Winchendon Furniture Company. The finish is excellent with very minor surface wear which is typical of an original finish. It is maple. The two sliding doors have the “grass cloth” covering. There is one drawer with storage space on the left side. There are three drawers with storage space on the right. The credenza is 33 ¾ inches by 60 inches by 18 ¼ inches.
The upper bookcase is not original to the base. However, it presents very well with the base. It is stamped “Made in Denmark.” It is quality composition rather than solid wood. It measures 11 ¼ inches by 47 ¾ inches by 28 ½ inches. It has sliding glass doors. It is not attached, so it can be positioned on the credenza. Or, naturally, the credenza could be used without the upper bookcase.
