Description:
Patented antique English brass muffin stand. c:1909-1910. Once used at teatime to hold extra plates, and/or plates w/muffins. This is a very fine antique stand made by Wiliam, Tonks & Son, Birmingham England. Clearly marked: W, T. & S, with incised rising sun symbol, Pats 15349, Rd547326. The plate rings can also fold up flat. You also get the 3 antique German plates that were purchased with this made by C. Tielsch & Co, c: 1875-1934. They all match and are 7.75 wide. It is a great piece of antique brass; hard to get really good pictures of it though. 32 inches tall x 8.5 wide x 9 deep. This would also look great with vintage teacups displayed on it; you can use the plates that come with it, or your matching teacup bread plates. You might never come across a stand as nice as this! Price is firm. If you've seen the movie, Joe's Palace, there is a similar stand in the palatial kitchen.
