Description: Very nice rare Louis Philippe Romantic period circa 1830's 1840's. This French porcelain cup is hand painted with a cockerel French rooster surrounded by a motto (in French) pained in gold gilt and edged with handpainted flower garlands and rococo Revival gold gilt strolls. No discernible factory marks. It measures approx 2.5" diameter, 2.4" high. CONDITION The gilding including the script is quite faint in places, otherwise very good, no chips cracks crazing or restoration.
