2 Pairs of Chinese Carved Soapstone Bookends 20C
Description: Two Pairs of Carved Soapstone Bookends, Made in Early 20C in China. The larger pair has undercut elephants supporting flower urns. The other pair has undercut urns with drooping blossoming branches. An attractive addition to the library. Dimensions: 1st pair (together): 7" High, 6-1/4" Wide, 5-1/2" Deep. 2nd pair (together): 5-3/4" High, 4-1/4" Wide, 3" Deep. Total weight: 20 lbs. Condition: Both pairs have a few small chips. One one of the larger bookends, a corner is chipped away, though the spot has been sanded down.
