Description: Trench art is the term for objects made or decorated by soldiers, prisoners, or civilians between 1914 and 1939. This pair of vases is a fabulous example. They were most probably made in France and are made from ammunition casings. The technique of repousse' was used to create the floral design. This design looks like shamrocks. The vases are in great condition. The picture shows a shadow, but there is none. Very fine examples of this art.
