Description: Presents a pair of Japanese gilded nickel metal 19th century Happy God HOTEI .... each with a seal of the metal caster craftsman on the back of the robe. This seal seems to be a bear. Each figure is 2 3/4" tall x 3" diameter. These Budai Luohan figures are called Hotei in Japanese. They represent contentment and abundance. Each figure holds their meditation beads. These would be a handsome pair of desk weights.
