Description: Odd little pair of Satsuma vases - quite early, they have green frogs clasping the side of the trumpet-shaped vases, and are hand painted with butterflies around the base. Flowers on the sides of the vase have applied enamel so they are bumpy to the touch. Some minor faults as befits their age - small hairline and tiny repair on one rim, amateur repair and some staining on the other rim. Faience style body. Probably mid 19th century. Signed on the side. Vases measures 15 cm high and the bases are 7.5 cm diameter (6 inches by 3 inches).
