Description: This pair of large Sevres style vases date from the late nineteenth century, and feature reticulated rocaille handles, raised feet, and painted portraits of hussar ( light cavalry ) officers on front and floral bouquets on rear. Each is signed by the artist with spurious Sevres interlaced L marks with enclosed S mark. They measure an impressive 31.5" tall and 26.5" wide and are in excellent condition. We have found no signs of restoration, losses or cracks. Additional images forwarded upon request. ( 2nd Second Empire )
