Description:
This a fabulous pair of large Old Paris porcelain blaster shaped vases from the Napoleon lll period in France circa 1860- 1870. Theses vases are beautifully handpainted in magenta color with Neo-Grec Neoclassical mythological scenes of Gods, chariots, Roman solders, horses classically dressed woman. and music trophies all hand painted in magenta tone color around each vase. Each vase has a deferent scene. with pastel color bands with gold gilt at top and bottom. The form of theses vases are very rare and unusual. Height 15" Condition: One vase has a rim chip that has been repaired. The other vase has a hairline crack on the middle body.
