Description:
This is an exquisite pair of Georgian style armchairs in the Hepplewhite manner. They are masterfully crafted in mahogany. There is no mistaking their unique quality and design, which is certain to make them a talking point in your home. As such, these armchairs are sure to take pride of place in your dining room or reception. These chairs feature slender arms and legs with decorative circular backs. The upholstery is pale cream with a simple leafy motif pattern, so will complement any period décor. The frames are entirely hand carved. The style is very typical of the Hepplewhite style. George Hepplewhite was an 18th century cabinet and chair maker. He was one of the ‘big three’ English furniture makers of his time, along with Thomas Sheraton and Thomas Chippendale. He gave his name to a distinctive style of light, elegant furniture that was fashionable between 1775 and 1800.
