Description:
The goblets have a circular tapering form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot. The goblets have original engraved fruiting vine decoration to the border with pin struck and engraved decoration to the base of the body and pedestal foot. There is also a band of reeded decoration to the foot. Both goblets have original gilt interiors. Dimensions: Height 15cm/5.9" Diameter of the top 9cm/3.5". Weight: 14.5 troy ounces/450g approximately. The goblets are a very good gauge of silver and a very good colour. To one goblet there is a small hole to the base of the body which has been in the making. There is also a small crack to the pedestal column. To the other goblet there are signs of an old repair to the rim of the foot. Other than this, the goblets are in excellent condition, with crisp decoration with the gilding being a lovely colour. Recognition of the imperfections is reflected in the price of the goblets. Alternative images and further information available on request.
