Pair: French Gilt Bronze Porcelain Flower Wall Sconces
Description: Pair: Antique French Gilt Bronze & Porcelain Flower Wall Candle Sconces, Early-Mid 20th C. France. The sconces feature long bow and tassel form back plates with knots issuing two upscrolled leafy branch arms with applied white porcelain flowers terminating in flower form candleholders. The gilded surface of each sconce has been lacquered or clear-coated and does not have a typical "gilded" appearance (has a light "lemon" gold finish). The sconces are not marked. Dimensions: The sconces appears to have originally been electrified as there are holes through the back and arms; however, the wiring and electrical fittings/sockets have been removed. There are a number of small/minor surface chips along the edges of the porcelain flowers. One flower on one sconce is missing. Several of the flowers appear to have been re-attached to the metal stems along the back (glued and/or painted). One of the two flower form candleholders on each sconce has a different gold finish (appears to be re-finished). There is some light oxidation/wear to the surface of each piece. Otherwise, the sconces are in good condition. Condition:
