Description:
A pair of late 19th C. white marble and dore bronze columnar candlesticks in the style of Louis XVI. There is fine hand chiseled detail on the background of the candlecups in addition to the swags and acanthus leaves that decorate the cups. The bobache rim is gadrooned. The column bears a swag decoration in mid-section, while the base is surrounded by a dore bronze leaf and berry trim. The squared base sits on a bronze plinth with toupee feet. The underside of the base is signed "Unis" France within an almond shaped cartouche. Shipping/Insurance are the responsibility of the purchaser.
