Unsigned. Both with print information attached to frame verso (partially torn): "Metropolitan Museum Colorprints. Indian, Mughal School, Period of Akbar, 1556 - 1605". Dimensions: Print 1: Paper (sight): 9 x 12in. Frame: 16 1/2 x 20in. Print 2: Paper (sight): 10 x 13in. Frame: 16 1/2 x 20in. Total Weight: 2 lbs. 8 oz. Condition: Both sheets are completely pasted in between mat and backing board. Surfaces of both works are slightly dirty. Print 1 (horse) has several small areas of ink loss scattered throughout, most noticeably on the horse's face and body and in the sky area. Print 2 (elephant) has some nicks to surface scattered throughout, especially to the elephant's green saddle. Otherwise both works are in good condition overall. Artist's Biography: This artist has not been identified.
