Description: Circa 1870-1880 Pair of Chinese Export Rose Canton Covered Dressing Jars 2 1/8" in height and 1 3/4" in diameter. This is a very unusual pair of dressing jars. Chinese Export dressing jars are made in usually five different sizes. We usually are able to find them in rose medallion and rose mandarin but rarely in rose canton. The difference is that in rose canton there are no people. One of the jars is decorated with green plants, leaves and bushes with pink decorated flowers. The other one is the exact dimension and has the addition of butterflies and very nicely decorated and extremely colorful birds. That jar also has a decoration of a yellow and blue fruit. Both are in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
