Rarely seen today, these particular models were attributed, somewhat tentatively, by P.D.Gordon Pugh, in his classic work, "Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era", where they are cataloged as Figures 8 and 9; to the modeller and manufacturer H.Bentley of Hanley, Staffordshire.
