Description: Two matched rare brass chandeliers with acid etched glassware. These were originally made as a combination of gas and electric fixtures. The upturned lights were gas and still have the gas valve on the support (which have since been converted to electric and fixed still). The down turned supports were electric. This was done in the early stages of electric power, in the 1880s because people didn't know how perminant or successful electricity would be. Circa 1880s. h. 22" diameter 26".
