Elegant pair of armchairs made from solid walnut by the end of the 19th century featuring a detailed crest consisting of a heraldic shield surrounded by acanthus leaves flanked by finials upon the large seatback standing above the wide seat flanked by padded armrests and supported by nicely turned legs, all highlighted by gilt borders. Note that the white fabric is dirty and would need to be replaced. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 39"high/ 17"seating height/ 24"wide/ 20"deep
