Description:
A fine pair of antique Italian Baroque polychrome and giltwood mirrors, early 18th century. Florentine. Each with shaped mirror plate surmounted with a polychrome grimacing amorino wearing a shell form headdress above a pierced C-scroll carved frame the base carved with a mask, previously fitted with candlearms. These antique Italian baroque mirrors are 15.5"H, 25.5"W, 4.5"D. Currently under restoration. Condition: Overall in good condition, mirror plate of later date, lacking candlearms, some flaking and wear to polychrome amorini, slight losses to tips of carving, rubbing to gilding.
