Description: A gouache painting entitled "Winter Dunes, Greenport Long Island" Signed by the artist Whitney Hubbard in a good quality four inch gilt frame. Whitney Hubbard was born in Middletown, Connecticut in 1875. He studied at Wesleyan University and at The Art Students League. He had one man shows at the Montclair Museum, Cornell, and Wesleyan. He lived and worked at Greenpoint, New York and is considered a significant Long Island painter. To the rear of the painting is mounted the artist's title and location.
