Description:
Offering this handsome old edition of The Poetical Works of Owen Meredith ( Robert Lord Lytton); published by Thomas Y Crowell, New York, no publish date but looks like last quarter of 1800's. Padded pebbled brown leather hardboard cover, decorated with gold gilt lettering and floral design on front, lettering on spine. Good+ condition, minor edge rubbing; front spine hinge had some cracking but has been repaired very nicely. Also a small tear on front cover which has also been repaired. Page edges are tipped in gold gilt on all three sides. Inside end papers are a light green floral (front first page end paper is missing). Pages are clean and crisp, no tears, stains, or scribbling; (exception - title page and frontspiece illustration has small amount of spotting - balance of pages are very clean). Pages are printed in double column. A beautiful old book, well over a hundred years old, a great addition to your library!
