Description: This is an original 6 x 8 press photograph from Photographic News Agencies Ltd. of London. The back of the photo has the agency stamp. Pasted on the back is a description. It reads: "SISTER SHIP OF AMERICAN B-29 ESTABLISHES SPEED RECORD. The U.S. Army's C-97, transport counterpart of the B-29 superfortress bomber, is the largest and fastest U.S. Cargo-carrying plane..."
This is a British Combine Acme Photo, issued Jan. 1945, and slated for publication February 9th. The condition of the photo is very good, with normal light creases, marks, and edge curling.
The angle of the shot really shows off the impressive size of this huge U.S. cargo plane.
