AN ORIGINAL LANDSCAPE PAINTING OF LADIES IN A FIELD OF FLOWERS A brightly colored original landscape oil painting of a group of ladies in a field of daisies and other flowers. Five ladies in blouses and long Victorian-style flowing dresses of varied colors stroll through the beautiful field of flowers, with one of ladies walking ahead on a well-kept white pathway. The pathway draws the viewer directly into this bucolic setting - the observer immediately wants to join these ladies surrounded by a myriad of blossoms - and thereby the painting comes to life. A yellow meadow and groupings of trees are visible in the distance, all set against a deep blue partially cloudy sky in this lovely summer landscape. The artist has signed this rather large work at the lower right, 'MORGAN'. Its dimensions are 55" wide by 43.25" high, and it was most likely created circa the 1980's. Condition is excellent, in general; note, however, that there have been a few canvas patches professionally added to the reverse of the painting to strengthen what was probably a few small tears in the original canvas. These repairs are virtually imperceptible from the front view. The painting is set in a double gold anodized aluminum frame separated by a white painted wood section (see photos).
